There has been much talk over the past year as to what will become of the Course as it changed hands. Monday, December 18th marked a special moment for the community of Manzanita. The city council brought to a vote, accepted and passed a conservation easement on the Manzanita Golf Course. This means that the space can and will from here on out, only be used as either a Golf Course or a natural green space for wildlife and native plants.
Below is a map of the Manzanita Golf Course. The highlighted sections point out the only areas in which buildings may be renovated or built in cohesiveness with it’s current state as a Golf Courses and no where else. We’ve also attached the City Council Memorium taken from Monday’s meeting, verbalizing the full extent of the easement. Currently the Course is closed for maintenance but is aiming to be open and in full swing in the first quarter of the new year!
