It’s amazing what a little de-cluttering and re-organizing can do when it comes to your home and representing it to it’s best selling self. For years I worked as an interior designer, most recently at group Mackenzie and through that experience I was able to streamline my skills. With my background in design, and a natural eye for what is visually appealing, I’ve always been drawn to strong marketing aesthetic and really enjoy enhancing homes to their fullest potential.

When enhancing a home, my objective is to de-personalize, de-clutter, clean, and improve the home’s overall visual appeal. This home in particular was tons fun to enhance! Since the owner’s already had exceptional taste, it was easy to visualize the potential of each room and where we wanted to go with it. We showcased the best of the existing home furnishings while being mindful to keep the space fluid and clutter-free by storing unnecessary items elsewhere. It’s always easier to picture yourself living somewhere if you aren’t being reminded of the current tenants and their possessions.

De-cluttering can be easy and the more you take away, the bigger the space will feel. For example, removing kitchen appliances from counters will make the kitchen feel larger, or removing excess clothing from a closet will improve the size and appearance of the room. Small touches of greenery can have a big impact. Simply adding a bouquet of flowers to a table or re-positioning a house plant to catch some natural light can change the vibe from stale to styling in a second.
