We are in the full swing of holidays, friends and the options for purchasing gifts for loved ones are literally endless in this day and age! No doubt we’ve been skimming the webs latest deals as well (it’s hard not to be attracted to the bright and shiny lights) but this year we ask that you consider instead, the gift of donating in someone’s name to a local animal non-profit or by inviting a friend to take up volunteering with you. Our pets show us unconditional love and support us year round, why not extend that love to those that may not be getting it in return? Donating and volunteering can come in may forms; from spending an hour a week walking pups up at the Clatsop County Animal Shelter to donating blankets and food to organizations like Animal Haven By the Sea and Tillamook County Animal Aid these small but great acts of kindness can be especially helpful during the colder slower months and are just some of the many ways to help strengthen our communities here on the Oregon coast in a hands on and helpful way.
