We’ve had an active summer in Cannon Beach and it’s been easy to see why. Our buyers have been loving the “feel” of this sweet community by the sea. There is definitely something about this town that captivates the people who choose to call it home. So much so, that they simply have to stay.
Is it the long sweeping and smooth beaches contrasted with the dramatic dark rock outcroppings like our famous Haystack Rock, that makes this town so alluring? Maybe, it’s the warm feeling your body gets after taking your first sip of Sleepy Monk Coffee in the early morning as you peruse the tide line for glass floats? Or better yet, it is the colors that dance along the western horizon at each sunset that truly defines the magic of this place. We haven’t narrowed down what it is exactly, that draws us coasties to live a life on the edge because the list is endless.
Living in Cannon Beach is for those who enjoy creating and celebrating community, no matter the weather or the time of year. During the summer you could stumble upon any number of spontaneous and fun gatherings throughout the town. Perhaps a Concert in the Park is the relaxing afternoon you’re looking for or a Southern crawfish cookout at Sweet Basil’s Cafe is more your speed. Many think of the town as just a summer tourist destination while in fact, one of the most well loved annual events in Cannon Beach is based around the famous rain, The Stormy Weather Arts Festival.
Why we choose to live where we do is just half of it, how we choose to live there is the other. Cannon Beach living isn’t just a lifestyle, it’s a mindset and just one more great reason to live coastal.
