When Ted and Elisabeth first reached out as interested property buyers, they were looking for a cozy coast home with a water view but didn’t want to be in the heart of the coast hustle and bustle. We combined our local knowledge of the area with the wants and needs of our buyers and that is when the city of Wheeler came to mind. After that, it didn’t take us long to find them the perfect home, tucked into the hills and displaying beautiful views of Nehalem Bay and Neahkahnie Mountain below.

Often overlooked in favor of beachfront towns like Manzanita and Cannon Beach, Wheeler offers a balanced and unique atmosphere with it’s deep connection to Nehalem Bay and the rivers that feed it while simultaneously offering panoramic views of Angora and Onion Peak to the north. This mish-mash of river and farming culture has created one thriving and lively, little city. Residents here enjoy  walking and boating access to a multitude of outdoor activities; fishing, SUP boarding, crabbing, hiking to name just a few. The food scene in Wheeler has been evolving quite nicely as well, with an abundance of local produce, meat and dairy, it’s no wonder Wheeler hosts some of the best meals for miles around.

One of our favorite aspects of Elisabeth and Ted’s new property is the old growth Spruce tree living in the backyard! These pacific northwest staples are less abundant these days but never cease to impress with their size.
